Due to COVID-19 Summer Spirit will not run in 2020. Take a look at what we’re planning for 2021!

Summer Spirit

We welcome your family to Summer Spirit at First Parish in Lincoln. We have opened this program to serve local families who are looking for a safe, fun and structured program for their children during the weeks in August when other programs have finished and before schools have resumed for the year. We aim to nurture each child’s Spirit of adventure, imagination, creativity, and activity.

Our program is non-denominational and open to any children in grades K-7 (with 8th graders as CITs). Our activities are similar to typical day-programs with time outdoors in nature, arts and crafts, playtime, guest presentations and local field trips. You need care for your children, they need some fun and adventure, we are here to serve families in our community.

Program Overview

Who – Summer Spirit is a private day program for any children in grades K through 7 – with 8th graders as CITs and high schoolers as counselors – serving families in and around Lincoln. Our adult staff are professionals from the Lincoln community.

What – A combination of indoor and outdoor activities, on and off campus, in a community of support and caring provide day-time play and learning for area children. We are non-denominational and offer a selection of developmentally appropriate activities and events for children in a summer-day-camp-like environment.

Where – Summer Spirit is located at First Parish in Lincoln’s Parish House building at 14 Bedford Road, Lincoln, MA (across from Bemis Hall). We will use this historic building, grounds, and abutting conservation land for our activities. We’ll visit local sites for our adventures.

When – Summer 2021 dates TBD

How – We have a dedicated and caring staff who make safety and fun the priority of each day. We offer a wide range of programming so that all learning styles and various interests are supported. There’s something for everyone! We know parents may need to work during these weeks – serving that need is how we came into being in the first place. Our extended day program allows parents to do what they need to do, while their children continue to enjoy group and individual activities. We also offer tuition assistance and are as generous as we can be. There is a financial aid request form (among other program forms) in the Parent Handbook on our website (print copies available upon request).
