Be an RE Helper
Families are required to help in RE 2 times per semester, per family, but you don’t have to have a child in RE to participate. Anyone can be a helper! Just sign up to be an extra hand with any age group each week, or with our bigger events like Advent Workshop, Christmas Pageant, or Winter Workshops! Sign Up HERE.
October RE Schedule
Oct. 5 ~ It’s Intergen Sunday!
Kids in 1st grade & up – Meet at 10am in the Sanctuary. It’s going to be a great Sunday, with the Children’s Choir and a Baptism!
Dreamers (ages 0-3) – Drop off available at 9:30am on the lower level of the Parish House.
Explorers (Pre K- K) – Meet at 10am in the Sanctuary. After the Time for All Ages they’ll head up the hill to hear the story, “It’s Ok to be Different” and talk about how special and different we all are. And then have fun with collage art!
Oct. 12 ~ No RE | Indigenous People’s Day Weekend
There’s no RE or Nursery Care, but kids are always welcome to attend service and play in the kids’ corner of the Stearn’s room! We hope that families enjoy some of the many local events planned to commemorate this holiday!
Oct. 19 ~ RE for younger kids and Food Drive for older kids
Dreamers (age 0-3) – Open at 9:30am on the lower level of the Parish House.
Explorers (Pre K-K) – Meet at 10am in the Donaldson room. They’ll hear the story, “I Color Myself Different” and paint portraits.
Seekers (1st-2nd grade) – Meet at 10am in the auditorium first, before heading out to explore rotting logs and what’s on the forest floor!
Kids in grades 3 & up will meet at Donelan’s at 9:30am for the annual Food Drive! Families and sibs are welcome to come help out! Teens looking for service hours are also welcome to help. After the Drive, we’ll walk donations across the street to stock the shelves of the Lincoln Food Pantry. Pick up is at that location at 11:30am (142 Lincoln Rd).
Oct. 26 ~ RE for all levels meet in the Parish House
Dreamers (age 0-3) – Open at 9:30am on the lower level of the Parish House
Explorers (Pre K- K) – Meet at 10am in the Donaldson room for story time, art & projects focused on values.
Seekers (1st & 2nd grade) – Meet at 10am in the Auditorium before heading outside for a fun Nature-Spirit lesson on spiders and webs!
Trail Blazers (3- 5th grade) – Meet at 10am on the stage before heading to our Magic workshop on “Mystical Creatures”.
Wayfinders (6-7th grade) – Meet at 10am on the stage before a Neighboring Faiths workshop on Paganism with Sarah K.
OWL Parent Info Sessions:
