Be an RE Helper
Families are required to help in RE 2 times per semester, per family, but you don’t have to have a child in RE to participate. Anyone can be a helper! Just sign up to be an extra hand with any age group each week, or with our bigger events like Advent Workshop, Christmas Pageant, or Winter Workshops! Sign Up HERE.

November RE Schedule

Nov. 2 ~ It’s Intergen Sunday!

Kids in 1^st grade & up – Meet at 10am in the Sanctuary for All Saints & Souls Day and we will be remembering special loved ones we’ve lost. Everyone is encouraged to bring a photo of a loved one or pet who has died. The Children’s Choir will also be performing. All Pre K-K kids in the children’s choir will be walked up the hill after the performance.

Dreamers (ages 0-3) – Drop off available at 9:30am in the Nursery on the lower level of the Parish House. It will be a fall-themed morning with stories and fun crafts!

Explorers (Pre K- K) – Meet at 10am in the Donaldson room. (Explorers who are in the Children’s choir will join after singing). Explorers will discuss doing things for others, read the book, Because Amelia Smiled, and continue work on their community art project.

Nov. 9 ~ RE for all levels at 10AM in the Parish House

Dreamers (ages 0-3) – Drop off available at 9:30am in the Nursery on the lower level of the Parish House for a morning of fun and community!

RE will meet at 10am upstairs in the Parish House.

Explorers (PreK- K) – Meet in the Donaldson room to explore the theme, Generosity with a story and art projects!

Seekers (grades 1-2) – Meet in the library for Sacred Circle before heading outside to explore Camouflage… with a special project on that topic!

Trail Blazers (grades 3-5) – Meet on the Parish House stage before heading to class to participate in a special project making scarves for people experiencing poverty. These scarves will be donated to CityReach by our teens.

Wayfinders (grades 6-7) – Meet on the Parish House stage before heading upstairs to discuss Evangelicalism with our guest, Nate Klug!

Nov. 16 ~ RE for all levels at 10AM in the Parish House

Dreamers (age 0-3) – Drop off available at 9:30am in the Nursery on the lower level of the Parish House.

RE will meet at 10am upstairs in the Parish House.

Explorers (Pre K-K) – Meet in the Donaldson room to explore the theme of connection. They’ll learn how to say hello in different languages & talk about how saying hello to others connects us.

Seekers (1^st-2^nd grade) – Meet in the Parish House library, before heading outside to explore Cones ~ Nature’s Artist.

Trail Blazers (grades 3-5) – Meet on the Parish House stage before heading to class to explore numerology and begin a discussion about Animal Cruelty. They will decide on a project to raise awareness around this issue.

Wayfinders (grades 6-7) – Today, this group will be visiting Grace Chapel in Lexington! Details coming soon, but the group will meet at FPL and carpool together.

Nov. 23 ~ RE for all levels at 10AM in the Parish House

Dreamers (age 0-3) – Drop off available at 9:30am in the Nursery on the lower level of the Parish House.

RE will meet at 10am upstairs in the Parish House.

Explorers (Pre K- K) – Meet in the Donaldson room for story time, and projects focused on gratitude and acceptance.

Seekers (1^st & 2^nd grade) – Meet in the Parish House library, before a fun Nature-Spirit lesson on Winter Weeds & Remnants of Summer Flowers.

Trail Blazers (3- 5^th grade) – Meet on the stage for Sacred Circle before participating in a social action project regarding Animal Cruelty.

Wayfinders (6-7^th grade) – Meet on the stage for Sacred Circle before listening to guests, Steve Johnson & Ben Wells speak about Atheism.

Nov. 30 ~ Advent Workshop!

This is a morning of holiday fun for kids of all ages! Everyone is encouraged to don favorite Christmas sweaters & meet us in the Parish House auditorium for holiday crafting! Kids have the opportunity to make decorations or gifts for others. It’s a fun event to start the festive season! Caregivers are welcome to stay or drop off & head down the hill to attend church!
