RE How To’s:
Welcome to Religious Exploration at First Parish in Lincoln! We have programs each Sunday for children of all ages ~ Unless it’s noted otherwise. This Winter, we have so many special events & activities and February is no exception! We hope you’ll join us. You are welcome here.
Nursery:
Nursery care is available for babies and toddlers (aged 0-5) on Sundays when Religious Exploration programs are scheduled. Our Nursery is managed by experienced staff who plan fun, age-appropriate activities that practice a variety of skills. Children who ae 5 may choose to be in the Nursery or RE program with older children. The Nursery is located on the lower level of the Parish House (Stone church up the hill at 14 Bedford Rd.) and can be accessed through the playground or main door off the side parking lot. Families may drop off at 9:30am. Pick up is in the same location by 11:30am.
Youth ~ Grades K-7:
Sunday programming for this age group is referred to as “Religious Explorations” (RE). Activities and programs are run by caring staff & volunteers that focus on values, faith, creativity and community building. Everyone starts by gathering in the Parish House through the Nursery (if dropping off younger kids) or through the main door off the side parking lot, and greeted by a friendly person who can help direct them!
Drop off is at 10am (unless a Time for All Ages is noted).
Pick up is always inside the auditorium or on the playground no later than 11:30am. *Other plans must be made with the DRE at drop-off or before.
On “TFAA” Sundays, kids in grades K-7 start in the Sanctuary for a brief children’s message before heading outside & up the hill for RE.
On Intergenerational Sundays, we encourage ages 5+ to stay in the Sanctuary to participate in an up-beat, kid-friendly service! We believe this will build community and help kids learn more about (and participate in) church routines, lessons, and music!
Teens:
8th graders are invited to register for Our Whole Lives (OWL), a 12-week, comprehensive sexuality education program on Sunday evenings from 7 – 8:30pm.
All teens (age 13+) are welcome to participate in fun monthly teen service activities & trips (such as Cradles to Crayons, Household Goods, CityReach, etc.).
OUR SPRING CALENDAR (APRIL ~ JUNE) WILL BE AVAILABLE IN MARCH!
