Thanks to the generosity of First Parish, this Easter offering will provide more than bandages, cold medicine and vital sign checks so needed by homeless women and children. Your generous support will allow HCWW medical staff to focus on ALL the complex health needs facing women who struggle with health and housing – from housing and transportation to counseling and support. Because of you – First Parish – HCWW is there to help homeless women and children.

In 2020, HCWW saw more than 1000 women visiting Rosie’s Place, and over 200 women through their Bridges to Elders and Housing Search & Support programs. Sadly, the number of elderly people who are homeless is expected to triple by the year 2030. For the Bridges to Moms program, the trend is similar. In 2020, HCWW worked with over 130 women who were pregnant or had recently given birth without any place to call home. The number of women enrolled is growing – double from the year before. These women are doing their best – often employed, attending medical appointments and nurturing their newborns – but still, housing is scarce and the stresses are overwhelming, particularly in this time of COVID.

HCWW continues to be there to help all who need it.
