“Time’s Hands” Rev. Kit Novotny preaches.
Life is short, lasting just the “width of a hand” (Psalm 39) as the psalmist puts it. How, then, shall we spend our precious handful of years here on earth? What do we owe one another as we go about the busyness of our days, and how do we interpret the Judeo-Christian call to love our neighbor? Inspired by poetry and the classic parable of the Good Samaritan, we’ll explore the interplay of our mortality with our morality and how a more expansive relationship with time might enlarge our capacity for empathy and mutual care.
