We are now in our fifth year of displaying a Black Lives Matter banner on the front of the First Parish Sanctuary. As we kick off Black History Month, Nate and Sarah will lead us in a Forum where we reflect on the BLM movement, its relevance for today, and the ways in which FPL has responded (and perhaps failed to respond) to its message. The Forum will begin with some teaching and evolve into a respectful, participatory conversation, where we engage with the different meanings the banner might hold for us today.
