World Religions Roundtable

A course for adults to learn more about our neighboring faiths

Tuesday, February 9th at 7:30pm
Led by Margit Griffith

Crossing Paths was Neighboring Faiths
Now it’s Crossing Paths not Neighboring Faiths
Been a short time gone, Old Neighboring Faiths
Still, it’s RE delight, on a Tuesday night…

Our 6th and 7th graders are learning about world religions using the Soul Matters’ curriculum called “Crossing Paths”.  Neighboring Faiths was and is terrific, Crossing Paths has clearer lessons plans and is designed, this year, with virtual learning tips, tricks, and links. Classes are underway for the youth…

…and we’ve heard adults wishing for a version of this class! So here it is!

We’ll begin by taking a look at the earliest human recognition of and tendencies to connect with the divine and consider earth-based and ancient polytheist religions. This spring, we’ll look at Abram’s radical change of focus from polytheism to monotheism (and becoming Abraham) and learn more about Judaism… culminating in a virtual celebration of Pesach (Passover)! If time allows, we’ll dip a toe into Christianity’s beginnings and early days.

Join us on Tuesday evenings! This course is scheduled for the last Tuesday evening of each month through May.
