Hearth & Hope
a new casual service
based in storytelling and song
—
All ages and identities welcome
Free dinner following
We are excited to pilot a new casual service we are calling “Hearth & Hope,” inspired by two words that recent new members used when describing what the First Parish in Lincoln means to them.
Hearth & Hope is a short service featuring welcoming music and few powerful stories told by people in our congregation (a la The Moth).
Miranda Loud will lead us on piano and keyboard, and we’ll have a guest musician playing guitar. Following the service, a free dinner is provided!
We think Hearth & Hope might reach some folks for whom Sunday morning is not an ideal time, as well as some newcomers who might not be interested in “traditional church.” We’re also excited about the ways the service might deepen our vulnerability and spiritual vocabularies. Please join us if you’re curious, and invite a friend!
