Looking to plug in, get to know your First Parish community, and give back?

Here’s some of what you can expect at the First Parish in Action Fair, after church on September 22 up in the Parish House Auditorium. Treats and coffee will be served.

-Learn about one of the many Small Groups that are launching this fall and looking for new members! We have new small groups that are forming, pre-existing small groups looking for new members, and Soul Matters groups that follow a UU curriculum. Speak with group leaders and learn more about their vision.

-Hear about our expanding Religious Exploration programs for kids of all ages. With all the activities we’re offering, we’re going to need 20 or more additional volunteers for one-off events over the course of the fall. Speak with Lora and other RE volunteers about how you might be able to share your gifts.

-Learn about volunteering for the Partakers Prison Mentoring program. We launched Partakers at FPL last year, and many of us are already building relationships with incarcerated college students. But the need is great, and Partakers is looking for even more mentors.

-Learn about Racial Justice Advocates plans for the fall, including the chance to sign up for a trip to the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry in Roxbury on October 6 after church.
