Our worship theme for the season of Advent (Nov 27-Dec 18) is “Enfleshed.” We will dive into the idea of incarnation at the heart of the Christmas story: that God came to be with us in and as a body, just like our own. We’ll reflect on the joys and vulnerabilities of having a body, as we seek to connect our embodied experience with sacred power.

Tales from the Book of the Body
Sunday, December 11th at 10am

Rev. Nate Klug preaches.

We begin with the powerful words of Mary’s Magnificat, her song of joy and justice, and move from there to a wider consideration of the body as a spiritual vessel. Julian of Norwich’s famous meditation on a hazelnut comes into conversation with Galway Kinnell’s poem “Wait.” “You’re tired,” the poet writes. “But everyone’s tired.” In the middle of this hurried season, we come together to draw strength.
