1. Nominating Committee Proposes
New FPL Treasurer for Election by Membership
The Nominating Committee is pleased to present Chris Andrysiak as our church’s new Treasurer for election by the membership at our Special Congregational Meeting. After having ably served as our Treasurer for more than six years, John Krzywicki has decided to step down, effective December 1 when John and Mary Briggs are relocating to California. The Nominating Committee would like to thank John for the vital role he has filled, including business analysis, guidance, planning and risk mitigation for the finances of First Parish. As John has explained, while the Treasurer doesn’t “count the beans” or “produce the beans,” the Treasurer does “analyze the beans.” In this role, John has worked closely with our Parish Administrator Silvia and in alignment with the Parish Committee and Finance Committee. The Nominating Committee is delighted that Chris has offered to complete the balance of John’s term and to be considered for nomination in June 2026 at FPL’s Annual Meeting. Having served as FPL’s Treasurer for multiple years several years ago, Chris is very familiar with the responsibilities of the role and we know we will continue to be in excellent hands.

Affirmation of Campaign Direction by Membership
Opening Doors Campaign Team seeks a vote of the congregation “To affirm the direction of the Opening Doors Campaign, including the revised concept for the renovation of the Parish House and site, the discerned approach to Opening our Doors to Justice, and the centering of green values; and further, to affirm that a fundraising team approved by the Parish Committee will initiate the quiet phase of fundraising to test the feasibility of the project.”
