Sunday Jan 26: Celebrate Lunar New Year with Nüwa

In celebration of Lunar New Year, we are delighted to welcome guests from Nüwa to perform the traditional art of lion dance as part of our Sunday morning service, which will take place in the Parish House Auditorium. After the performance, children and youth will be invited to walk down to the Stearns Room for a Children’s lion dance workshop with the Nüwa dancers from 10:30-11:30 in the Stearns Room.

About Nüwa:

The Nüwa Athletic Club, based in Boston, MA, provides an environment for Asian American girls and women to enhance their physical and emotional development through teamwork, sportsmanship and cultural activities (including lion and dragon dance!) The all female group formed in 2017 and is named after a goddess in ancient Chinese mythology known for creating humankind and repairing the pillar of heaven.
