Event Series Event Series: Big Questions Book Club
Lost & Found discussion with Rev. Kit has been rescheduled for Monday, February 6th at 3:30pm.
All are invited to join Rev. Kit and members of the Care Committee on Zoom this winter to discuss some big questions around topics like loss, grief, renewal, human fragility and resilience, and coping with life’s twists and turns. We’ll begin with two evocative memoirs with philosophical/theological depth, one a meditation on loss and love by New Yorker writer and Pulitzer Prize winner Kathryn Schultz (“Lost and Found“), and the second an account of a church minister who survives cancer and other calamities, by Kit’s mentor and colleague Rev. Molly Baskette (“How to Begin When Your World Is Ending: A Spiritual Field Guide to Joy Despite Everything“). There will be a few copies of each book available soon in the church library.
  • Monday, January 23, 3:30-5pm: Lost & Found by Kathryn Schultz
  • Monday, February 27, 3:30-5pm: How to Begin When Your World is Ending by Molly Baskette

We’ll complete the series with a discussion of Aging With Wisdom, led by author and longtime friend of FPL, Olivia Hoblizelle on March 27. This book explores how we can age consciously and cultivate an inner life resilient enough to withstand the vicissitudes of old age.
